This is my first attempt with Sweet Saturday Samples, so be gentle...
The bulk of a man filled the doorway of the Women’s Clinic. His appearance in this location was odd enough but his sullen mood drew the most attention. Observers could tell his anger was ready to erupt.
“Where is she,” he demanded of no one in particular.
The three women patients stared in disbelief at the man and the jarring scene. The receptionist, a no nonsense woman named Thelma, was ready for the challenge. This wasn’t the first time a jealous lover showed up to see a woman at this doctor’s office.
Staring from one patient to the next and not seeing whom he was searching for, the massive man stormed over to the reception desk.“Where is she,” he demanded to know.
“She’s not here,” Thelma replied, sliding the protective glass window shut.
“Yes, she is,” he bellowed, glaring at the woman.
He looked behind the window and saw three examination room doors. To his immediate left was a door leading to the hallway that lead to those examination rooms.
The man strode over to the door and started pounding and yelling.
“Dammit, Darci, where are you?”
The three patients left one at a time, quickly making a hasty exit into the lobby of the medical building.
“Darci, come out here now,” the man bellowed.
Thelma opened the glass window and yelled, “Stop that right now!”
“Then let me talk to Darci,” he countered.
“I cannot and will not disturb the doctors and their patients,” Thelma said matter of factly and crossed her plump arms on her overflowing bosom.
“I want to see her now,” he said, as he started pounding on the hallway door again and calling Darci’s name.

I love this story! I bought the book and am reading it now. You paint the scene very well, I can feel his presence and how much he wants to be part of his child's life. Beautifully done, Dawne.
